At Monarch Trancework, transformation begins by establishing a safe, grounded, and potent relational field. Whether we are working through hypnotherapy, ritual, or meditative practice, the first step is always rooted in trust, clarity, and consent.
Monarch Trancework offers a path of healing and awakening that meets people where they are — whether you’re navigating subconscious patterns, ancestral wounds, spiritual awakening, or preparation for ceremony. My approach is trauma-informed, core-aligned, and grounded in decades of training across spiritual, therapeutic, and animist traditions.
Depending on your unique story and needs, our work together may draw from:
Clinical hypnotherapy
Animist journeywork, including work with guides, ancestors, and patterns
Ancestral lineage healing
Psychedelic preparation and integration support
Ritual and ceremony
Zen mentorship and orientation support, rooted in the Rinzai tradition
Zen support at Monarch includes two distinct offerings:
Orientation to Zen Support, a four-session series for newcomers
Zen Mentorship & Training, a dedicated relational container for committed students
All of this work is framed within a commitment to decolonization and reconciliation — with the land, with our ancestors, and with one another. In my animist and psychedelic work, I advocate for the recognition of traditional and Indigenous ways of knowing within systemic and scientific contexts. Many Indigenous communities have deep-rooted relationships with these medicines and immense experiential wisdom. We have a responsibility to listen with humility and integrity.
Likewise, my commitment to Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig) language and cultural reclamation is part of my personal healing journey. It’s a way of tending the wounds of my own colonized ancestry — and grappling honestly with the harm that settlers and systems have perpetuated on these lands. I believe that facing these stories, with courage and compassion, is a powerful path toward healing.
By resolving the core subconscious or ancestral dynamics that fuel symptoms, stuckness, or spiritual malaise, people often experience a deepened sense of peace, clarity, and inner coherence. This work isn’t always easy — but it can be transformative, and even miraculous.
In-Person and Collaborative Work
I see clients both online via Zoom and in person on Vancouver Island. I also collaborate with Marnie Roper, a skilled counsellor and body worker working with Ancient Origins, a wellness collective in Duncan, BC. Marnie and I often support clients collaboratively in psychedelic preparation and integration, grief work, and complex healing journeys. You can connect with her here.
“My goals of the therapy were reached in a short time. My sleep problems and symptoms of depression were much improved and my feelings of low self-worth were dissipated.”
