What is Trancework?
Trancework is a powerful, adaptive healing modality rooted in clinical hypnotherapy and supported by a wide range of complementary practices. While hypnosis is central, not every session involves formal trance induction. Sometimes we talk. Sometimes we dig. Sometimes we diagnose patterns, plan behaviours, or tend what has surfaced in dream, ceremony, or daily life.
This is not a scripted, one-size-fits-all approach. It’s a dynamic and responsive process, grounded in relationship, attunement, and intuition. My role is to listen deeply and guide you toward resolution — using the tools that best serve you in the moment.
Scope of Practice & Approach
Trancework with me is rooted in clinical hypnotherapy, but shaped by many streams: neuro-linguistic programming, spiritual direction, animist healing practices, and over two decades of Zen training. I approach this work not as a technician, but as a guide — relational, intuitive, and deeply attuned to the rhythms of each person’s unfolding.
Hypnosis is often the central modality, especially in the early stages — but not every session includes formal trance. Some sessions are diagnostic and strategic; others are spiritual, somatic, or emotionally integrative. We work with what is most needed, in the way it most wants to move.
Clients come to this work for many reasons:
Long-standing inner patterns, fears, or self-limiting beliefs
Life transitions, grief, identity work, or existential questioning
Integration after spiritual, trance, or medicine experiences
Releasing intergenerational trauma and ancestral burdens
Reclaiming agency, clarity, purpose, and voice
Deepening relationship with Self, Spirit, and the other-than-human world
I also offer preparation and integration support for psychedelic or entheogenic medicine experiences, whether they take place in ceremonial, spiritual, or clinical settings. While I do not provide or facilitate the use of these medicines, I walk with those who choose to engage them — helping to clarify intention, deepen insight, and ground their impact with reverence and integrity.
This work is held within an animist and decolonial framework. I honour the long histories and living traditions of Indigenous and land-based peoples who have stewarded sacred medicine knowledge for thousands of years. I strive to support this work with humility, accountability, and deep respect — especially in clinical or institutional spaces where these traditions are often marginalized or erased.
As a Scottish Gaelic language and culture reclaimer, I walk a path of remembering: healing the trauma of colonization in my own ancestral line, while taking responsibility for the harm those ancestors helped cause on these lands. I believe that true healing means entering these tangled places — listening, grieving, reconciling, and making different choices.
For me, Trancework is sacred. It is a place where inner and outer worlds meet, where transformation becomes possible, and where we remember that our healing is not just for ourselves, but for all our kin — human and other-than-human, past and yet to come.

Ready to Begin?
This work is deep, personal, and not one-size-fits-all. If you feel the call — if you’re ready to turn inward, meet yourself honestly, and do the work of remembering and becoming — I’d be honoured to walk with you.
We begin with a free 60-minute consultation. This is a chance to connect face-to-face, explore what’s bringing you here, and clarify whether this work — and this guide — are the right fit for you.
