I’m writing today about a new offering at Monarch Trancework for people who have already done some significant Trancework with me (6 + sessions). This offering is somewhat limited, as the number of sessions I have available in a month is limited, so if this is something that speaks to you, I’d encourage you to contact me quickly to confirm your space.
In order to explain, I really have to give some background to how I got here, so when you have the time for a story, grab a cup of tea (or a cold drink) and read on...
Recently, I was speaking with my partner Marnie, and reflecting on the past year or so of our life and practice together, and about what we’ve learned together through our work in supporting others in transformation work.
One of the things that stands out most to me is a principle that has been most pronounced in our engagement in psychedelic work; but one that I recognized applies across the spectrum, and I realize has been a crucial element in my own development and personal transformation; and that is the principle of integration.
Throughout my own practice, it’s been my aspiration to not just support people like you with my skills and experience to address issues and symptoms that are causing a current crisis, but to support you in developing resources and capacities within yourself, so that after we’ve worked together, you’re able to step forward in your life with greater abilities to meet and process any difficulties or challenges that arise independently; and for myself, I feel good about doing the same in my own life as well.
Reflecting on the principle of integration, I’ve realized that I’m able to – and have – met and processed many of my own difficulties and challenges over the past few years, and even so, I haven’t always had the space or time to fully integrate everything that I’ve learned from doing so; and while Marnie is a fantastic partner and practitioner - doing integration with my partner isn’t always the best choice. Often, I’ve found that it’s far more effective to do this work with someone who isn’t immersed in day-to-day relationship with me.
I’m blessed that I have a fantastic counsellor and guide whom I rely upon to support me through the really tough stuff, and then, when things are smoother, I’ve generally disengaged entirely for several months until things pile up enough that I need her help to sort through it all.
Usually, my first session back with her is a great big messy download of the past several months, and we end up spending the whole session unravelling it and sorting out where to even start.
That’s why, after my conversation with Marnie, I realized that it would be really useful if I began to apply the principle of integration in my own life and practice outside of psychedelics.
What if I booked a session with my counsellor once a month, even (especially?) when things are going well, and just used the session to integrate everything that I’d experienced and learned over the previous month?
That way, things wouldn’t be piling up in the background, and when – inevitably – I hit another challenge or rough spot, we’re already up to speed and can just dive in.
Heck, if I’m seeing her monthly, she might even help me see things coming that are in my blind spots, so I could start dealing with them before they even become full-blown problems at all!
So, that’s what I did. I now have a standing session booked with her and when I’m starting to feel full up, it’s a huge relief to know that my support is already there on my calendar.
... and that’s brings me to why I’m writing today.
I figured that if it’s good enough to be an effective approach for me, that it might be an approach that you’d like to consider for yourself in your Trancework with me too.
I have some clients that have, after doing some initial work with me (usually to address some core challenges) purchased additional 6-session packages, and use them on an “as needed” basis. That said, after several months without seeing each other, our first session is inevitably and necessarily a kind of “where are we now” session.
So, I decided that I ought to create an offering for people who have been engaged in Trancework with me for some time - a kind of “ongoing maintenance” program - so that like me, you too can continue to integrate the learning that your life naturally brings. I could offer something on a month-to-month basis, rather than asking people to come up with the cost of a 6-session package a couple of times a year.
So, here’s what I’m offering. For people who have done some significant foundational work with me in Trancework (6+ sessions), I’d like to offer a monthly maintenance program. It would work kind of like a subscription or membership.
At the beginning of each month, I’ll invoice you for one session at the same discounted session rate as a 6-session package - $151.73 inc. tax (15% off the regular $178.50 single session rate), and you simply book a repeating monthly session on a day and time that generally works for you (ie. first Tuesday of each month at 1pm).
Of course, in any given month, if you know that something else is happening that day or time, you can reschedule up to 48hrs before the usual session to a better day/time for you, but otherwise that time is all yours to unpack, digest, and process everything that continues to unfold in your life.
When life events start to create challenges (as it inevitably does), you can always choose to pick up a 6-session package to do more intensive work, knowing that we’ll be able to get into the juicy stuff without delay, because at most it will have been one month since our last session together.
I’m thinking that because you’ve worked with me a fair bit, no commitment is necessary, and as long as I have 48-hours notice (my usual cancellation policy), you could cancel your maintenance subscription anytime. So really, the only commitment required would be to yourself, and to your own wellbeing; and I figure that’s a commitment worth making.
Wow. That’s a long post. If you are still reading... thanks!
If you’d like to take me up on this offer, please just let me know and we’ll get started, and book your session time.
If you have any questions about the “Monarch Maintenance program”, please do just let me know and I’d be happy to answer.
